Prof. Nagar is currently a visiting professor at Madras, where he is delivering a series of lectures on Mathematical Complexity Theory and Systems Engineering, contributing to an institution with a strong connection to the legacy of Nobel Laureate Sir C. V. Raman.
Prof. Nagar’s academic path has taken him to various institutions, including the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, South Asian University, and Jadavpur University, with additional lecturing roles at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and BITS Pilani.
His research interests cover nonlinear mathematical analysis, systems engineering, theoretical computer science and AI, focusing on complex problems that span scientific, engineering, and industrial applications.
With over 550 publications, he has held editorial roles and co-edits two Springer Book series. In addition to his academic contributions, Prof. Nagar is involved in strategic research bodies and advisory panels in the UK, such as the UKRI and JISC. He is also exploring the intersection of mathematics and Sanskrit through Vedic literature.
