Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham has announced the death of Sister Rosemary Clare SBVM . She had been ill for some time and died on Thursday 25th April as the sisters were with her, praying the Divine Mercy chaplet – to which she had a great devotion.
Sister Rosemary Clare Skinner was born and brought up in Barbados, as part of an expatriate family. She moved to England in her twenties and joined the sisters at Wantage where she made her life vows in 1970. For many years she served in the community’s houses in South Africa. She came into full communion as part of the Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 2013. She was anointed the day before her death and passed peacefully to her eternal reward aged 87 years surrounded by her sisters as they prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet for her – her favourite devotion. May she rest in peace.
“Priests should offer mass for the repose of Sister Rosemary Clare as soon as possible and we send our deepest sympathy and assurance of our prayers to the members of the community, ” said The Right Revd Mgr Keith Newton of Ordinary of The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.
